Mom At The Beach

I've been visiting Mom and we go get bagels in the morning and drive up onto the beach to watch the waves.

Today was a particularly beautiful day.

The police chase you off in the afternoon, but leave you alone in the morning.

We drove in the afternoon down to Villano Beach where you can drive legally onto the beach. Flocks of Black Skimmers were gathered there. They are beautiful and fascinating birds.

... which they skim through the water to catch food. We watched them skimming the waves until it was dark. They continue to skim into the darkness because their beaks are so sensitive they don't need to see.
