Today is China's National Day, commemorating the establishment of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949. It's a holiday in Hong Kong, too, of course. We all got up late and Anna made a big breakfast, including French toast with blueberries, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, coffee. True was delighted.

We sat and talked and talked after we had eaten - the best kind of breakfast.
