Coney Island With True
... so I drove him out to Coney Island to visit the aquarium there.
We saw plenty of fish and seals and walruses and this stingray.
Afterward, we took a stroll on the boardwalk and stopped for a bite at Nathan's Famous Frankfurters.
We split a cheese dog.
It was junky but good.
Then we went on the Wonder Wheel, one of the oldest Ferris Wheels operating in the U.S.
The wheel was built in 1920. You can see the original patent for it here.
It is an 'eccentric' Ferris wheel, which means that some of the carriages move on tracks as the wheel turns. This is an image from the patent.
We took a carriage that moved.
It was a lot of fun.
A view from the top.
This way out.
