Japanese Coffee Bar

Before True left for the U.S., we went out to eat at a Japanese place we like and afterward went for coffee at a Japanese coffee bar. They brew the coffee in these percolators that look like pieces of laboratory equipment.

I remember coffee bars like this in Taiwan when was I was studying there thirty years ago. Taiwan culture is heavily influenced by Japan.

We ordered coffee and some desserts.

True distributed some macarons that we had bought from a shop nearby.

They were delicious.

We skipped the mango & shrimp special (with French Toast!). Hong Kong's Western style restaurants always offer odd combinations.

The coffee, brewed and ready to serve.
