Together Again
Sky is home and everyone is happy. The air conditioner in True's room is broken, so he is sleeping on Sky's bottom bunk, just like the old days.
Anna spent Saturday making pulled pork and carrot cake for our arrival. We ate some Saturday before jet lag sent me to bed and Sky went out with friends.
But Sunday morning, we were all together again. I had carrot cake for breakfast. It was delicious.
True and Sky got up late and had pulled pork sandwiches and we sat and talked at the table. It was wonderful to have both boys here.
Then we retired to the master bedroom to watch a wonderful documentary that True wanted Sky and me to see. Watching things on Anna's computer, all lined up in the bed, is something of a tradition.
Later in the afternoon, we got spiffed up and went to the Mandarin Oriental hotel for high tea.
We sat in the corner of the Clipper Lounge where the jazz band used to play when Sky was a toddler. We have a wonderful video somewhere of him bopping his head to the jazz when he was about two.
We talked while waiting for our tea.
Anna looked lovely.
Then the tea and cakes arrived and the eating began!
Sky prefers scones, no raisins, please.
It was a fun and relaxing afternoon ...
... full of talk.
All in all, a very nice day.
