Andy and Andy

I went to Shanghai to see my dear, old friend Andy Sheehan, who I hadn't seen in more than 20 years. He was in Shanghai with his wife, who works for the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. She was part of an advance team preparing a show of Warhol's work, the first time it has been shown in China.

Besides the cathartic reconnection with Andy, seeing the other Andy's art up close was fun and inspiring. Andy is a broadcast journalist for a CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh and was doing some stories for his station while in Shanghai.

After our short visit, we took the Maglev to Pudong airport.

The Maglev is a magnetic levitation train that rides on a cushion of opposing magnetic fields. The lack of friction allows the train to travel very fast. This one reaches 300 kilometers an hour (about 186 miles per hour) during its short 13 minute trip.
