New Visitors

I sometimes sit on the balcony in the mornings, listening to the cacaphony of birdsong. Recently, a new community of birds have appeared: oriental white-eyes. They are small and sleek and colored like a leaf with a wonderful ring of tiny white feathers around their eye.

I used to admire them in the bird markets. Now they come to pick bugs off our bougainvillea. The top picture is from the Internet as I never have a camera on hand when they are near. The bottom picture was taken with my cellphone and blown up.
