Whahappenzat
True, at the American Club, taking a big bite out of his roast beef sandwich.
He likes to sit on one of the sofas watching the big screen televisions that play sports. He has invariably seen the game before.
True has a habit of starting his stories with 'whahappenzat...'
Last time we ate at the club, there was a live NBA game on TV and True started explaining what was happening and telling me the strategy the coach was going to use. He predicted everything that happened in the game's last five minutes, exactly. I was amazed! He has a very deep understanding of the game that certainly didn't come from me. I would repeat it all here if it weren't so complicated - it had to do with fouls and free throws and 3 pointers.
There is a moment in every parent's life when they realize their child knows much more then they do. It's humbling but exciting at the same time.
