Todd came to spend the weekend with me in New York. This is a picture of a blues musician, SaRon Crenshaw, who we went to see one night in the Village.

We stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel, because our father had stayed there on his first trip to New York in the 1950s.

We ate breakfast at a diner.

We went to the Met.

We went to see some shows...

... including Chinglish, by David Henry Hwang. It was excellent. Anna met Hwang for coffee a couple of years ago.

We went to see the very funny ventriloquist, Nina Conti...

... and we saw the play
Venus in Fur. It was great, too.

I took Todd up to see the New York Times offices.

It was Sunday and nearly empty, but interesting nonetheless.

Then we went downtown for a $12 haircut...

... and shave.
