Into Iraq

We got clearance to leave Kuwait and enter Iraq on March 30. We just went in for the day before returning to Kuwait to get provisioned.

This was taken on the road from Um Qasr to Basra. Terry Lloyd of ITN and his cameraman had been killed by U.S. forces on this road eight days earlier.
