Japanese Alps

We spent the Chinese New Year holiday skiing in the mountains near Nagano, Japan.

The 1998 Olympics were held there.

We had perfect weather and perfect ski conditions. The slopes were nearly empty and there were no lift lines.

It was beautiful and we skied every day. We even skipped going to see the famous 'snow monkeys' soaking in hot springs nearby. The boys really love skiing.

The hotel was nice, with a big breakfast buffet in a room of windows with beautiful views.

We ate noodles at the top of the mountain.
