Sky at 16

We celebrated Sky's 16th birthday on December 21. Here he is opening a book titled 'Sky Trees,' from Nina.

It is a beautiful book of paintings of trees against a changing sky.

I made crepes for breakfast. Sky eats them with maple syrup.

No butter. Rolled...

...and sliced.

True eats them with Nutella, an Italian blend of chocolate and hazelnut paste. We were out of Nutella, so he made something similar with chocolate chips and butter. He rolls his crepes and eats them by hand.

For dinner we had sweet and savory marinated beef with rice that you eat wrapped in nori, the dried seaweed paper used for sushi. It's one of the boys' favorites.

Sky was happy.


We had molten chocolate cupcakes and vanilla ice cream for dessert.
