Skiing in Korea

We went skiing in Korea for the Chinese New Year break. The resort was brand new and beautiful and the Koreans were wonderful, though very few spoke any English.

Korea is full of what the Japanese call 'cute culture,' and so the ski lifts are named things like 'Apple' and 'Orange' and girls dressed in tiger costumes or cow costumes greeted skiers at the lift lines because the year of the ox had just ended and the year of the tiger has begun.
