The Amazing Misanthrope

Sky is playing the lead, Alceste, in an English-language school production of Moliere's The Misanthrope. Moliere, in case anyone doesn't know, is France's Shakespeare.

Sky has an amazing number of very complicated lines, all in rhyming couplets - or Alexandrian couplets, as they are called.

The play, a comedy of manners, was written in 1666 and is about an idealistic young writer who insists on being frank and honest and is continually disgusted by the falseness of polite society.

The school production sets the play in modern times. Sky was great.

Thursday was the first performance, it runs until Saturday.
