Venice in Asia

We needed to leave and re-enter Hong Kong for visa reasons, so we went to Macau for the day.

We spent a few hours at the Venetian Casino Resort, said to be the largest single building in Asia and the third-largest building in the world. This picture is from the Internet.



Anna went to gamble a bit in the casino (she won HK$300, or about US$36) while the boys and I took a gondola ride. Sky was mildly mortified but it was fun.

The canals are inside. The sky is painted on the ceiling. Our gondolier's name was Frederico. He was from the Philippines. He had a great voice.
