Dim Sum

We went to a place called Maxim's Palace Restaurant in Hong Kong's City Hall building, an otherwise nondescript block near the old Star Ferry terminal.

The restaurant is sort of hard to find but is famous among Hong Kong Chinese for its dim sum.

It was exactly what we wanted.

The boys had only had dim sum once before, a few days earlier at another famous Hong Kong dim sum restaurant called Luk Yu. These are Har Gow, True's favorite.

Women push carts of dim sum around the restaurant, calling out the name of their offerings.

True was taking the pictures.

These were the boys' other favorite, cha siu bao, or barbecued pork buns.

I don't know what these are called. They were filled with a chopped green vegetable. Delicious.

Both Sky and True have quickly mastered chopsticks.
