Cheap Wine

There's a wine called Bastardy sold at the local convenience store, Cocci Market. Bastardy is the state of being a bastard, but it is also, apparently, the name of an old family in Corbieres, France.

Corbieres is in the Langedoc region, near the Spanish border.

The wine sells at Cocci for 2 euros and 95 centimes. That's very cheap, particularly given that Cocci has a huge mark-up. But there is a glut of wine in France and even decent wines sell for very little.

Bastardy, I discovered, is a surprisingly nice wine.
