Doughnuts

True decided that he wanted to make doughnuts today. My initial reaction was resistance, but then I jumped on board.

We picked out a recipe in the Joy of Cooking and True and I whipped it up. Anna helped shape the doughnuts.

True cut the doughnut holes.

When the raw doughnuts were ready, I heated up the oil.

They turned out surprisingly well.

Then we sat down to eat and talk about the doughnuts.

True's inspiration was the Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop we visited in Florida this summer where we watched the doughnuts being made.
