Bois de Boulogne

True had a plan to go to the Bois de Boulogne today for a picnic. Sky, who just returned from a week of Outward Bound in England, declined. But Anna and I went along.

True and I made sandwiches and packed a picnic bag and we walked over to the park. We took a little ferry to the island in the lake there, which is less crowded and free of dogs (and therefore free of what dogs leave behind).

The weather was lovely - mild and dry. True thoroughly enjoyed it.

True's view.

He and Anna took a nap. Then True made a gallant effort at doing his homework, interspersed by trips to the water's edge where he threw chestnuts into the lake. It was a nice day.
