Sky's Early Birthday Party

Sky had his birthday party this weekend. If he waited until his real birthday on the 21st, all of his friends would be on vacation.

He invited 9 boys to go play "laser tag." The place was outside Paris and difficult to get to. Sky led the way.

He was in a playful mood.

We had to take a train. It took about forty minutes. One of the boys took pictures, but few of them came out clear enough to use.

The boys were pretty quiet on the train.

Sky was his usual pensive self.

Between bouts of laser tag, the boys played billiards - or some approximation thereof.

Yes, it was sort of a pool hall. He is indeed growing up.

It took us a long time to get home. When we did, at last, the boys sprawled out in the living room to watch movies and talk. In the morning, they played video games.

Anna and I made a big breakfast for them in the morning.

Then I drove Sky and some of his friends to play soccer at school.

Sky wore the blue Japan jersey that one of the kids had given him for his birthday.

True played basketball later in the afternoon.
