These are Qassam Brigades fighters in Jabalia, northern Gaza, after a brief interview on the street. This is a picture taken by Shawn Baldwin, the photographer I worked with in Gaza. The guy in the foreground gave me his headband afterward.

This guy is carrying a Gaza-made rocket propelled grenade launcher.

This is the commander of the cell that met with me. They were very nervous as Israel has been tracking guys like this with drones, which you could hear buzzing in the sky. The Palestinians say the drones are armed and fire rockets. Israel has refused to confirm or deny that, but the U.S. has such drones so it's probable that Israel does, too.

An Islamic Jihad rally at the Palestinian parliament building in Gaza City. Islamic Jihad is a hardcore militant group that, unlike Hamas, rejects any political activity. Their militia is called the Quds, or Jerusalem, Brigades.

They shot up an American flag with a Kalashnikov and burned an Israeli flag. They're an emotional bunch.
