Our apartment is filled with wonderful details, carved marble and stone and molded plaster. These are my favorite bits. Above is part of the marble mantle in the master bedroom.

This is a bird, one of the motifs repeated in the molded border of the ceiling in our oval living room.

Oak leaves and acorn caps make up the stone garland that frames our living room windows. There are some whole acorns, too.

A flute and vine, another repeated motif in the living room ceiling.

This is the sunflower in the marble mantlepiece in True's room.

I love this dragon fly, easily overlooked, which is another repeated motif in the living room ceiling.

This is the bottom of the border of the molded wall panels in the living room.

These cherubs are above the mirror set into the wall above the living room mantlepiece.

The flower in the smallest fireplace, set at an angle in the corner of what serves as our family room.
