Libya

I went to Libya because I had gotten a visa to go with President Chirac. I didn't go with Chirac though. I went on my own with a photographer after Chirac had left.

It was an interesting trip. We spent a morning with Seif al Islam, Qadaffi's son and went to Benghazi to visit the families of children who had the HIV virus. A group of Bulgarian nurses had been sentenced to death for deliberately infecting them, though the evidence showed that the infections had begun before the nurses arrived.
