Tokyo

I went to Tokyo for a meeting of the Asian bureaus.It was fun to meet the other reporters and to have some free time poking around the city. I visited the Tsukiji fish market, where the picture above was taken.

I ate at this kaiten sushi place.

I also spent a morning watching sumo wrestlers drill at one of the 'stables.'

It was fascinating.

Afterwards, they sat outside before going to eat and sleep, which is apparently what sumo wrestlers do.
